Ecological, participatory, and non-speculative neighborhoods
LiveVillage is a sustainable housing neighborhood located in a natural rural environment. It offers a concrete alternative to urban sprawl by combining low-carbon housing, renewable energy, and human-scale village life.
LiveVillage seeks to build a neighborhood that combines sustainability, social inclusion, participatory governance, and quality of life. We foster intergenerational diversity, environmental respect, and active resident involvement.
Once established, the neighborhood will be managed by a non-profit entity. Day-to-day decisions will be made by a residents’ general assembly, while major decisions will be overseen by a board made up of residents and founding partners.
The project operates on a non-profit cooperative model. Housing is leased (not sold) at cost price, based on 50-year amortization. No profit is generated: rent covers construction, energy, and shared maintenance costs.
LiveVillage provides a positive response to current challenges in housing, rural vitality, and ecological transition. It’s a sustainable and inclusive path to revitalizing our territories while preserving nature and social equity.
We are seeking rural municipalities interested in hosting a sustainable neighborhood, and individuals or organizations who want to support or contribute to the project. If you’d like to help or recommend a suitable site, contact us at:
