LiveVillages

Ecological, participatory, and non-speculative neighborhoods

The Project

LiveVillage offers a model of sustainable housing neighborhoods located in an environment respectful of nature. The project offers a concrete alternative to urban sprawl by combining low-carbon housing, renewable energy, and a human-scale village lifestyle.

Residents and green spaces

Our Vision

LiveVillage aims to build neighborhoods that combine sustainability, social inclusion, participatory governance, and quality of life. We promote intergenerational diversity, respect for the environment, and active involvement of residents in daily management.

Key Features

Governance

Once completed, each neighborhood will be managed by a non-profit entity. Day-to-day decisions will be made by a general assembly of residents, while broader directions will be set by a board composed of residents and founding partners.

Financial Model

The project operates on a cooperative, non-profit model. Housing units are rented (not sold) at cost price, based on 50-year amortization. No profit is made: rent covers construction, energy, management, and shared maintenance costs.

Why LiveVillage?

LiveVillage offers a positive response to today’s challenges in housing, territorial vitality, and ecological transition. It provides a sustainable and inclusive path to strengthening communities while preserving nature and social cohesion.

Join the Initiative

We are looking for rural municipalities interested in hosting a sustainable neighborhood, as well as individuals and organizations who wish to support or contribute to the project. If you would like to help, support us, or recommend a suitable site, please contact us at:
